Frequently Asked Questions
Does it hurt?
Polynucleotide treatments are minimally painful thanks to a combination of topical anaesthetic cream and skill of our injectors. We use micro needles/micro fine cannula to perform the treatments and most patients report little to no discomfort.
What areas can be treated?
Polynucleotides can be used everywhere on the face, body and scalp. They are a very safe treatment and perfect for pre and post operative care to improve recovery times after surgical procedures.
What is the downtime?
Depending on the area treated there can be some swelling/bruising. This can be more prominent in vascular areas such as around the eyes. Swelling can be expected to settle within 72 hours an bruising up to 2 weeks post procedure.
How many treatments are required?
For most areas we recommend a course of 3 treatments spaced between 2-4 weeks apart. Patients will then have a yearly maintenance top up every 6-9 months.
Do they work with other treatments?
Polynucleotide treatments are a great addition to your treatment plan that enhance the results of toxin, dermal filler and medical grade skincare by improving the quality of the skin in preparation for other treatments.
